Massage

Massage Therapy has been a recognized healing method for thousands of years and offers so many benefits that can enrich and harmonize our lives.  I hope that you will make massage a regular part of your health care routine to balance the mental, emotional, and physical effects of today's world.

Benefits:
  • Massage is helpful for pain control and for stimulating the production of endorphins, which are the bodies natural pain relievers.
  • Massage helps with chronic fatigue syndrome.
  • Massage helps correct poor posture.
  • Massage helps relieve headaches and Temporal Mandibular Joint disorder.
  • Massage promotes recovery from fatigue, muscles spasms, and pain after exercise.
  • Massage helps break up scar tissue and adhesions.
  • Massage removes metabolic waste, tight muscles and blocked circulation, which can cause the waste to get trapped in the muscles.
  • Massage improves blood flow circulation throught the entire circulatory system, which aids in keeping our immune system strong.
  • Massage helps with chronic inflammatory conditions by increasing circulation in our limbs, especially when swelling occurs from fractures or injuries.
  • Massage therapy is wonderful while detoxing, since many techniques promote mucous and fluid drainage from the lungs, and increase peristaltic action in the intestines for proper elimination.
Massage therapy is a wonderful and beautiful gift for your health, however there are some health conditions where Massage is not recommended, so please continually communicate any health concerns you are having, with myself and your doctor, so that you can receive the treatment that best suits the needs of your body at this time.

What brought her to Massage:
Vanessa received her first massage in 1998.  She appreciated the deep relaxation and tension relief that massage gave her.  The feeling of reconnecting to your body that massage gifts you with is very special to her.  After the company she was working for started to shut down her husband and her moved to San Diego where she worked full-time while attending Body Mind College studing massage through the schools Holistic Health Practitioner program in 2003. She continued her education in Las Vegas at the Nevada School of Massage Therapy.
